Euros has been and gone…
Olympics is over…
Now time for Loddon United FC to restart!!!
Sharpy continues to drive the first team forward with aspirations of climbing out of Division 1 this season, with some more quality players added, reserve player development and youth pushing through, there is plenty of competition to bring out the best in player performance. The team went so close last year even with some inconsistent periods regards player availability. Let’s hope we can nail that down this year…
Tren and Tink open up their season this weekend as he continues with his team. With a lot of experience in a young side, they will be hoping for a push further up the table this season.
Cod heads up the Loddon Vets who have also added a couple of players who have hit the wonderful 35 mark!! The team done well last year with a small squad, bringing in a couple more will hopefully help this, especially with a fixture pile up at the start of the season to help the usual back log at the end.
Colin and Nigel continue with their women’s team, they go from strength to strength each season on and off the pitch. With their consistency in training and matches; they will be looking for a good finish in the league this season.
The Youth-
Youth fixtures start around Sept 8th.
From U7-U16 (no under 14’s) the club continue to provide football provision across the community. A successful five aside again last season has helped to purchase two new sets of goals for the youth. Kev Williams continues to drive the youth forward and provide opportunity for football, Kev’s hands on approach always keep him busy as always so much to do, any help from parents/supporters across the club would be greatly appreciated. The Yourh AGM details are on the website.
Here’s to a great season on and off the pitch… we look forward to seeing you pitch side…
